Tea and Caffeination
It’s true that tea contains caffeine, but the comparison between caffeine in a cup of coffee versus the caffeine in a cup of tea is day and night. The average cup of coffee contains 120 mg and the average cup of black tea (the type of tea with the highest caffeine content) only has 40 mg. Also, even if someone is very sensitive to caffeine, some teas can be decaffeinated. Otherwise, naturally caffeine free herbal teas are a wonderful alternative.
